1. Family Counselling Centre
Indian Council of social welfare Chandigarh chapter is running a family counselling center (FCC) at Karuna Sadan building aided by (CSWN), New Delhi to Chandigarh social welfare Board Chandigarh, PowerCenter is successfully dealing with a wide range of cases pertaining to family problems. Nature of cases Handled from marital maladjustment with a spouse or in-laws, Extramarital relations, economic crisis, property disputes, psychological problems, second marriage without seeking a divorce, wife-beating and bettering, custody of children, sexual harassment, wanted restoration of dowry, and financial help for the marriages of poor girls. Mainly assistance provided is guidance and counselling, FCC with a positive approach has been able to affect mutual reconciliation between the estranged parties. In majority of cases relating to the return of Dowry and mutual divorce have been settled out of court. The services provided by the FCC totally free of cost to people of all age groups irrespective of religion, religion, colour Caste, and gender.
2. HIV aids at Nawanshahar
This project has been functioning successfully since October 2010. The project has target of 400 injecting drug users. There are 6 staff members i.e. one project manager, two outreach workers, one accountant, one A.N.M. One doctor along with nine Peer educators under the proper supervision of project directive according to the guidelines of PSACS (NACO). ensure the availability of condoms, gloves, needles, syringes, needle and syringe cutters, and containers. NGO organized awareness camps and regular health check-up camps. group discussion was conducted to make aware HRG population. NGO provide referral services to ICTO also.
